Richard has been involved in land development since 1968 with direct experience in leasing, sales, consulting, property management and construction related services. After experience with Meyer Weiner, Trizex, Coldwell Banker, Tectonics Group, and Tri-Equity Group, Mr. Weiser founded The Weiser Companies, Inc. With offices in Honolulu, Hawaii, Charleston, SC and suburban Washington, DC; he oversees commercial and residential development ranging from shopping centers and office buildings to industrial and resort hotels.
Lenn oversees the leasing, property management and administrative (financial aspects) business and has been with the company since 1990. A 20-plus-year veteran of the retail development industry, Lenn has been directly involved in the development, leasing and management of several million square feet of retail and commercial space. He holds a B.S. in finance from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. from the University of Utah. Lenn is an active, long-term member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and maintains strong contacts with real estate representatives from several regional and national retailers. Lenn' resides in Virginia and works from The Weiser Companies, Inc., Ashburn, Virginia office shared with Lincoln Construction Corporation.
Rick manages all construction aspects of the business, including estimates, purchase of materials, subcontractor services, coordination of trade, contract administration, field operations and customer relations. Over the course of his professional career, Rich has managed projects of more than $200 million. He is a third generation contractor, and grew up in the construction industry. He has managed an array of projects across the country from urban developments of more than one million square feet to small rural projects. Rick is also the Vice President of Lincoln Construction Corporation in Ashburn, Virginia as well as Maverick Construction, also based in Virginia.
Elliott Summey is the Vice President of Business Development for The Weiser Companies, Inc. He finds and coordinates new projects and development opportunities in the commercial and retail real estate side of the company. Elliott handles governmental affairs and public relations for the Weiser Companies as well. Along with his various business dealings at the Weiser Companies, Elliott is also a Charleston County Council Member (District 3) and serves as that body's Vice Chairman. He also serves as the Chairman of Charleston County's Economic Development Committee, is a member of the Council's Finance committee, Planning/Public Works committee, Administration Policy/Rules committee, and Recycling/Solid Waste committee. Elliott also represents Charleston County Council as a member of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments, the Charleston Area Transportation Study Committee, and the Charleston Animal Society. Elliott received his BA in 1999 in History from the College of Charleston. In 1999, he was appointed by then Governor Jim Hodges to the South Carolina Board of Juvenile Parole where he represented the 1st Congressional District for a four year term. In 2002, Elliott served on the Economic Development Transition Team for newly elected Governor Mark Sanford. In 2009, the Charleston Regional Business Journal named Elliott one of its 40 Under 40 award recipients for his impact on both the business and civic sectors.
Don is responsible for developing new investments in the alternative energy arena for Weiser Energy Partners and integrating green practices into the construction and development process in the commercial and residential sectors. Don's research in evolving markets keep him abreast of innovative business models that secure the long-term profitability of environmentally sound technologies.
Bill has been a project manager for The Weiser Companies since 1996, overseeing land planning, field supervision and finances for the companies' mixed use commercial and retail properties. Bill has more than 30 years of residential and commercial construction experience in North and South Carolina, as well as New Jersey. He has consulted nationally with FSLIC, FASDA and other governmental agencies on projects within their portfolios. Bill holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of South Carolina and attended Northwestern University where he took courses in mortgage banking as well as the Real Estate Appraisal Institute's courses 1-A, 1-B and 2.
As Development Manager, Mr. Fitzhenry is involved in all phases of the development process from market analysis to leasing and sales. He is actively involved in all aspects of consultant management and financial projections to secure debt and equity financing for mixed-use commercial projects. Prior to joining the Weiser Companies, he was involved in the financial management of resort and mixed use communities on three different continents. He is also an active member of ULI and ICSC. Mr. Fitzhenry holds a Master's of Real Estate Development from Clemson University and a Bachelor's Degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.
